President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko believes that the situation in the energy sphere of Ukraine threatens the Ukrainian statehood.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this opening a session of the National Security and Defense Council on Tuesday.
According to the President, the NSDC session should consider the issue of guaranteeing the energy security of Ukraine, which is equal to the issue of Ukraine’s independence and statehood.
The NSDC should consider and assess the developments that took place in the energy security sphere during the last several weeks.
“I’m confident that the things that all of us have witnessed jeopardize the Ukrainian statehood”, Victor Yushchenko said.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko takes part in the NSDC session.
