Verkhovna Rada sent inquiry to President to dismiss Baloha

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has sent an inquiry to President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko with request to dismiss Victor Baloha from post of the President’s Chief of Staff. The inquiry was initiated by MP Volodymyr Stretovych (OU-PSD faction) and MP Volodymyr Syvkovych (Party of Regions faction).

According to an UNIAN correspondent, 323 out of 385 lawmakers presented in the chamber voted for sending the inquiry.

The inquiry reads that V.Baloha should be dismissed because he “hampered activities of lawmakers and covered illegal land transactions”.
