According to V.Semeniuk, a raider seizure of the Fund is taking place in order to re-distribute state property objects. She stressed the today’s decision of the government does not correspond to the Ukrainian legislation, in particular, the provision on the State Property Fund. In line with the legislation, the Fund is not an executive power agency, and its chairman cannot be dismissed without an approval of the parliament.

V.Semeniuk emphasized that the appointment of Andriy Portnov as the top deputy SPFU chief is also illegal, because his predecessor has been on sick leave since 30 January of the current year.

V.Semeniuk stressed she will continue to head the Fund. “The guards in the Fund are reliable, from the Interior Ministry. I think they will continue to fulfill their mission”, V.Semeniuk stressed, adding that the electronic systems, installed in her cabinet, allow entering the room nobody but her.

V.Semeniuk also claimed today she had a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko, who stressed that she should follow the existing legislation.
