Tymoshenko proposes compromise to Klitschko

The Block of Yulia Tymoshenko has intent to propose the candidacy of Vitaliy Klitschko for the post of the Kyiv Council Secretary after Oleksander Turchynov is elected as Kyiv Mayor. Yulia Tymoshenko, Prime Minister of Ukraine and leader of the BYuT list at the election to the Kyiv City Council, claimed this at a meeting with electors in Kyiv on Monday.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, she said: “Should Vitaliy Klitschko want to gain organizational experience, it would be a good first step for him if the new Mayor, Turchynov, took Klitschko as the Kyiv Council Secretary”.

The BYuT leader is convinced that this union would be efficient for all Kyiv residents. “In such a way, we will combine the reason and strength. Both of them are strong and clever, and we should combine the teams”, Yulia Tymoshenko noted.

She added there are no discrepancies between the Klitschko Bloc and BYuT, but “as of today, they are rivals at the Mayoral election”.
