As UNIAN reported earlier, Shakhtar Donetsk won their sixth Ukraine Cup, beating reigning champions Dynamo Kyiv 2-0 in the final on Wednesday.
Shakhtar dominated the first half and opened the score a minute before the break through striker Alexander Gladky, who fired under the crossbar from 10 metres.
After watching in Kharkiv Dynamo Kyiv - Shakhtar Donetsk finals game of the Cup of Ukraine in football, President Victor Yushchenko presented the Cup to the winners of the finals Donetsk Shakhtar.
The medals were also awarded by Ukrainian Minister for Family, Youth, and Sports Yuri Pavlenko and Football Federation of Ukraine president Grigoriy Surkis.
Obviosely, the FFU president was not very pleased with the match result...
To the contrary, Rinat Akhmetov, owner of the Donetsk team, was overjoyed...
He also kissed with President Yushchenko.
On the whole, the final match was nervous, tough, and tense. But, as it always happens: some cry for joy, others give away to despair... Vae victis...
