Some 33.3% of experts believe that a Coalition of Democratic Coalition will be formed in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko and Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense Bloc, and Yulia Tymoshenko will become the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
These are the data of an experts poll, carried out by “Sociopolis” NGO and the Agency for Modeling Situations. The data of the poll were publicized at a press conference in UNIAN today.
According to Agency for Modeling Situations director Vitaliy Bala, some 26.7% of those polled believe that a “pragmatic” coalition will be formed on the basis of BYuT, OU-PSD, and the Lytvyn’s Bloc, with a situational support of the Party of Regions.
At the same time, some 16.7% of experts believe that parties and blocs will not be able to form any coalition and incumbent Prime Minister Victor Yanukovych will keep his post as acting Prime Minister. Some 10% of respondents believe that a “broad” coalition of Party of Regions and OU-PSD will be formed in the Verkhovna Rada, and a compromise figure, suitable for the President and the Party of Regions, will be appointed as Prime Minister.
At the same time, V.Bala is confident that only the Coalition of Democratic Forces and the government, headed by Yulia Tymoshenko, will have enough political will and readiness to carry out deep reforms of the political system and the country’s economics.
According to him, the majority of experts believe that the government of Yulia Tymoshenko will be the most efficient, though the most unstable.
