Candidate for parliament members from the Party of Regions Ganna German states that the Party of Regions has not decided yet concerning voting for the candidacy of Yulia Tymoshenko for the post of the prime minister.
The press service of the Party of Regions, making reference to G. German, disclosed this to UNIAN.
“The Party of Regions can not vote “partially” for “something” or “somebody”, - said G. German, giving comments to the statement of one of the leaders of the Our Ukraine – People’s Self Defence Bloc Mykola Katerynchuk that some deputies from the Party of Regions can vote for the candidacy of Yu. Tymoshenko.
The candidate to the parliament members underlined, that deputies of the Party of Regions will vote in consolidated way in accordance with decision of the political council of the party. “We always united in approving the decisions and in its fulfillment. I deny categorically any attempts to split the Party of Regions and sow discord among us. If the political council takes decision to support this or that candidacy for this or that post, we all will fulfill this decision. If the decision on supporting this or that candidate does not take place, nobody from our collegues will support this candidate”, she explained.
G. German also thinks that it is rather early to forecast how the fraction of the Party of Regions will vote while formatting the governing bodies of the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers. “It is early to make forecast whether we support specifically Tymoshenko. Let’s wait the opening of the session, approving of the oath. All political forecasts and general forecasts I estimate as simple conversations. All this is prologues for the topic - nothing more than that”, added the representative of the Party of Regions.
