Clearly Our Ukraine and Peoples Self defe3nce are in the minority and the proposed presidential system. If they are sincere and honest about wanting to become p[art of the European Union then they should be supporting Ukraine adopting a European style parliamentary system and not pushing for a USA style presidential authoritarian rule. With anti-democratic politics such as this there is little wonder why Our Ukraine the the Presidents party is in the majority. The presidential system has failed to provide Ukraine good governance or leadership. Fuil support for Ukraine becoming a parliamentary `rule of law ` democracy and putting an end to presidential `rule be decree` dictatorships UkrToday : A Parliamentary system is the answer and step forward
“We will support the Constitution of Ukraine, and the amendments that will finally stop the chaos, dual power, and internal squabbles between authorities, elected by people” .... ... I agree fully and this is one reason why UKRAINE MUST BECOME A PARLIAMENTARY DEMOCRACY putting an end to the abuse and divisions power struggle initiation by the Office of the President. As stated above if Ukraine wants to be a part of Europe then it should adopt European Standards of governance Tomas : 8 % and falling
IN 2006 the Presidents political party "Our Ukraine| secured 15% of the vote. In 2007 Our Ukraine merged with People`s Self-Defence Party (Estimated to receive 40%% of the vote. In the September 2007 election Our Ukraine-Peoples self Defence block received 14%, Where as Yulia Tymoshenko, Party of Regions, Communists Party and Bloc Lytvyn increased their support. Latest polling places Our Ukraine-People`s self defence party at less then 8%. The facts speak for themselves. Our Ukraine. Peoples Self Defence and the President represent a minority of Ukraine. |
